BiographyMICHAEL A. SMITH
Michael enjoys a diverse business career that ranges from chief operating officer and partner of a defense manufacturing company for seventeen years; President of an senior adult home for thirteen years to his work today as Vice President of a large regional health and housing healthcare firm in upstate New York. Mike is also an author, speaker, publisher and golfer. Mike’s experiences and successes in developing business relationships lead him to write the book Business-to-Business Golf: How to Swing Your Way to Business Success, an informative easy-to-read guide on the art of mixing business and golf. It has been ranked consistently in the top ten since 2001 and has achieved the #1 ranking on a number of occasions, out of over 2000 books on the subject, for the category of “business golf” at Amazon. The book is designed to assist businesspeople in the art of developing relationships with new and established clients alike through the game of golf. Mike’s book is about the many important principles, rules and behaviors in order to make business golf work for the reader. Mike conducts workshops, seminars and speaking engagements. He is a member of several business organizations and of the United States Golf Association and he is a single digit handicapper. Smith is a graduate of Marist College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and has received various awards and recognition both in business and golf. He is an accomplished golfer, playing the game for over thirty-five years and winning many amateur golf club tournaments and events. Mike is married and has grown two children and lives in Orange County, New York. |
