FAQFrequently Asked Questions about Mike and his speeches:Do you customize your talks? Absolutely. For each engagement I will request materials about your organization, review them and ask you a lot of questions. I will also ask about the key members of your firm and, if appropriate, do telephone interviews with as many as needed to understand your situation and what you expect to achieve in having me speak. I will discuss the need for any handout materials, customization and copies of the book for your event. How long have you been a business golfer? For over thirty years! It all started when I was in the insurance business and invited my first client to my home course. Through the years, I have made my mistakes, witnessed a lot of business golf situations, and developed a fair amount of good business relationships. When did you start playing golf? I began at age twelve. My parents moved across the street from a golf course. My father then decided to take up the game at age 43 (on advice from his accountant!) and my brother began playing. So, I thought, why not me? The rest is history playing for fun, in many amateur competitions and, of course, for business purposes. What can we expect from you? I have lot of passion and interest in the subject material and relating it to you group. I enjoy my work, meeting people, asking about their work and golf experiences. I mix examples of business golf (some are from the book), the history behind business golf, Tour news and events, and plenty of information designed to entertain the audience. Do you give away free business golf books at your speeches and seminars? Yes. The amount depends on the audience and what you want to do. They can be used as giveaways to supplement your program. Its a great business gift! What I need from you Once you have engaged me, I will interview you by telephone and request materials about your organization such as brochures, newsletters, reports and what is going on in your world and what is it you wish to accomplish by having me. |
